Wynns were appointed to carry out a transport assessment as part of the Environmental Impact Assessment for a new power station on the Isle of Anglesey. The Transport Assessment was conducted in conjunction with Oxford Brookes University's Impact Assessment Unit and examined the following issues:

• The feasibility of gaining access to the proposed site using road and water transport from various ports.

• The impact of transporting abnormal loads to site during the construction and decommissioning phases.

• The existing baseline traffic in the region.

• The likely volumes and impact of heavy goods vehicle traffic during the construction phase.

• The likely volumes and impact of heavy goods and normal vehicle traffic during the operational phase.
